Anthropology Museum launches Online Catalogue

September 26 will mark the launch of the UQAM’s new Online Catalogue. Records of every object in the Museum's ethnographic, photographic and lithic collections, numbering over 26000 items, will be available to the public via a new website. The Catalogue will provide an important tool for academics, researchers, students and communities, who will be able to search the full UQAM collection for information on an object’s origins, makers, measurements, materials, sources, photographs and descriptions.
The launch will coincide with the welcome reception for this year’s Australian Anthropological Society Conference being hosted at UQ.
|The event also marked the launch of the two concurrent exhibitions 'What Do Objects What?' and 'In the Red; on the vibrancy of things'.|
